1/31/21 (Essential Doctrines– CHPS. 12, 13, 14)
1 Cor. 12:1-3
This 4th “I would not have you ignorant,” doctrine comes with a warning: If we do not understand the doctrine of spiritual gifts, we will be duped, bamboozled, confused, deceived, and led astray by the SPOE, like most of Christiandom today. And every last one of us have loved ones, family members, friends, acquaintances an even we once believed in the counterfeit system of spiritual gifts, such as speaking in tongues, divine healing, miracles, wonders, and signs before we “came to the knowledge of the truth,” And then we were taught to utilize the KEY that unlocks Bible truth, known as 2 Timothy 2:15, “rightly dividing the word of truth.” Thank God for “coming to the knowledge the truth.
1. We have studied and discussed the first 3 of the six “I would not have you ignorant” doctrines. We studied: 1. Pauline Authority and Godly Edification, 2. Israel and the great dispensational change and the mystery. 3. Godly sanctification with emphasis on our Liberty. Today, Paul says to us: “now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant,” (unaware).
2. Our Apostle wants us to know that in the dispensation of Gentile grace now in effect, Satan is busy counterfeiting spiritual gifts, which are no longer in operation. And we know that the sign gifts originated and belong to Israel’s Kingdom program, along with (Rom. 9:4) “The adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises.”

In Romans 15:8, we learned that Jesus was “a minister of the circumcision” (Israel) and he came in his earthly ministry, in Matthew – John, during the Climatic Stage (Turning Point) working miracles, wonders, & signs. Healing, casting out demons, and performing other mighty acts. But Why? Jesus was confirming, validating, superintending, the promises made unto the fathers Abraham, Issac, and Jacob.” To Israel only! *That’s why Paul made it clear in Romans 11:13 “For I speak to you Gentiles, in his much as I am the Apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office.” Paul was making sure that we have a good understanding! “Wisdom is the principal thing: therefore get wisdom: get knowledge, and with all your getting get (a good) understanding.” Prov. 4:7

4. In Rom. 15:16, “that I should be the minister of JC to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of the grace of God that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
5. God did not want body members to be confused, that is why he sent Paul to teach us godly edification, and right division. Paul writes in 2 Cor. 5:16, “Wherefore, (For this reason) henceforth, (from this point on) know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more (after the flesh). (and by the same token, know we spiritual gifts no more)!
6. And Paul left no stone unturned concerning spiritual gifts. “When we read” there was a time, and a purpose, for sign gifts in the early, infancy of the CBOC. For we can hear Paul saying in 1 Cor. 13:8-10 “Charity (agape love) never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail, whether there be tongues they shall cease, whether there be knowledge (extra biblical revelation), it shall vanish away.”
7. “For we know in part, we prophesy in part. Vs. 10, (But here it comes) “When that which is perfect (complete is come),” (Meaning, when Paul would receive the full weight of the revelation of the knowledge of the mystery of Christ, for the CBOC), that which is in part shall be done away. Meaning we have the completed cannon of scripture. The word of God is complete now! We hold it in our hands, and in our inner man!
8. Vs 11. Paul refers to the BOC as a child in its infant state, that’s what he means when he says “when I was a child, I spake as a child (there was a time for speaking in unknown tongues-incomlete), I, understood as a child (there was a time for supernatural knowledge), I thought as a child (there was a time for prophecy): But when I became a man, (a fully grown man, a perfect man, when I received the revelation of the mystery) I put away all childish things (spiritual gifts, spiritual phenomena). Paul said (Vs.12) “for now we see through a glass, darkly (as though seeing a dim reflection of ourselves in a mirror); (the word had not been completed then), But then face to face (When Paul received the full revelation of the mystery from Christ, then Paul says to BOC (“When you read,” you will be able to understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ.”

When you read: You will be able to see yourselves perfectly. When you read: you will know all that God has said to you & about you, When you read, you will be conformed to his image, by the effectual working of his word in US. When you read, you will know that you are “accepted in the beloved.” You will know you are Complete in Christ!
9. Spiritual gifts, spiritual phenomena, is one of Satan’s favorite doctrines. (sugar sticks). And we cannot afford to be ignorant of this counterfeit device. And if you are ignorant, you will surely be deceived. The only solution to discerning spiritual gifts, is rightly dividing the word of truth. The Corinthians were being deceived once again by the SPOE in regard to dumb idols, and spiritual gifts. Paul says you are being deceived by spiritual phenomenon right now, by a man speaking in tongues claiming to be speaking for God, in your very midst.
10. Ignorance of right division is the reason people do not recognize that the sign gifts belong to Israel and not to the BOC, in this dispensation of grace. The SPOE Is having a field day and Ephesians 4:14, Paul points to the problem! Believers are being tossed to and fro on a raging sea of false doctrine by the slight (skill) of Satan’s ministers, men who are cunning, scheming, craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to do this deceive, professional church operators. And we can see it right now on Christian TV, & radio station such as PTL. Satan’s TV ministers busy lying, counterfeiting spiritual gifts, like Joel Osteen, TD Jakes, Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Creflo Dollar, Juanita Bynum, Kenneth Copeland, Fred Price, the Rev Ike’s of this world. WELL, didn’t Paul say, “mark them and avoid them who cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which you have learned?” (Rom. 16:17). I know Satan hates me for marking them, I got my Armor on!

11. 1 Cor. 14:33, “God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.” I tell my kids all the time, God is not the author of confusion! but he is a God of peace! Whenever you see confusion, Satan is present, the adversary loves confusing spirits, and doctrines of Devils. Satan we are going to tear your kingdom down today!
12. The bottom line is: Right division teaches us: The hallmark signs of the Kingdom, miracles, wonders, spiritual phenomenon, naturally belongs to Israel.
13. God made a covenant with Israel of sight, to see God working among them.
14. Israel had a right to expect miracles, wonders, and signs, by way of the Covenant.
15. Jesus came to confirm, validate, and superintend the word of God, that it was true.
16. And through Paul and right division we learn Paul and Corinthians were given Israel’s sign gifts temporarily during the acts period.
17. Right division teaches us that ALL Gifts ended at the end of the acts period.
18. Right division teaches us: God will resume the gifts in the tribulation, when He resumes His dealings with Israel in the 5th installment, ages to come.
19. And finally Right division teaches us that No Man or Woman has the gifts of prophecy or tongues, in the Disp. Of grace. And if they claim to have spiritual gifts today, Paul tells us in 1 Timothy 4:1-2, they are being controlled by “seducing spirits and doctrine of Devils, they are speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron” Thank you Jesus for clarity, through right division!
**Today we are instructed by God’s Word, rightly divided, and we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit.
**Israel walked by sight, under the law, we walk by faith and not sight under grace.
We are not ignorant of the adversary counterfeiting the power of God through spiritual phenomena today! Where are the faith healers, miracles, during this pandemic? There are none, they are liars & hypocrites, counterfeiting the power of God, just like their father, the devil! Spiritual gifts don’t exist in the Disp. of grace.
