Walking Worthy of Our Identity In Christ Means: Complete Seperation.

“Be ye not unequally yoked (joined, in bondage) together with unbelievers: for what fellowship, (understanding, agreement) hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion (fellowship) hath light with darkness?” Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing: and I will receive you,” And will be your Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord almighty.” 2 Cor. 6:14-18.

“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy (honorably) of the vocation (calling) wherewith ye are called.” Eph. 4:1.

In my studies with the GSB, while studying the Book of Daniel: ” Be ye separate, touch not the unclean thing” came up.  Richard Jordan (Instructor) told the class, “get in the Book and let God tell you what to be separated from.” In Daniel chapter 1, we see a type of the Jewish remnant in Babylonian captivity. Israel’s program has been set aside. In 1:8; we find Daniel making a stand against King Nebuchadnezzar’s  religious system (also known as Baal or devil worship).  (8) “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile (corrupt) himself with the eating of the King’s meat, nor with wine which he (King) drank. Therefore he (Daniel) requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not eat the meat and drink. Why? Because Daniel didn’t want to defile (contaminate) himself.”

Daniel at 12-14 yrs.  old, is making up his mind, he “purposed in his heart” that he would not defile himself (to make unclean) eating the Kings meat, nor drink. How did we get here? In Exodus 34:12-17, the NOI was warned repeatedly by God through Moses, not to eat meat offered to idol gods. That was the ISSUE! The meat and drink offered, sacrificed to idols! No, Daniel was not a vegetarian! The issue here is to NOT eat or drinki things offered to idol gods. That is the issue in Daniel, chp. 1. Complete Separation!!!

Exodus 34:13-17; When coming into the land of Canaan, NOI was directed to make no covenant/agreement with the inhabitants of the land, if you do, you will be caught in the snare/SPOE. God told His people to destroy their idol alters, break their graven images, and cut down their groves (underbrush & trees), in other words, “destroy the idol religious system.”  Vss. 14-15: “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.”

The drink and meat offering are part of what the Bible calls Baal worship (or devil worship). Over & over in the Bible we see it. Notice: Today, the source of Baal worship in this country, is the Roman Catholic church mass that is being performed in your city, state, country today! This is where it comes from. They (RCC) believe that the literal wine, & the literal bread is the blood & body of the LJC & if you don’t believe that you will be excommunicated & go to hell. That is Baal (devil) worship!

What Daniel is doing in Chp. 1:8; he “purposes in his heart.” Daniel is setting up the standard for “separation” for a Jew in captivity!  The standard is: STAY AWAY FROM BABYLONIAN RELIGION!         In other words, that separated Jew that goes through the Trib 5^th, that believes God, & stays true to God, won’t get mixed up with Baal worship that’s going to be there when the Anti-Christ shows up!

Paul is saying the same thing to us, the CBOC. “Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers.” Paul doesn’t want the BOC to be yoked (joined, in bondage, with the religious system! Yoked (joined, in bondage) with someone who does not believe, or rejects the “mystery” of what Christ in heaven is doing today,

through Paul’s ministry. Of course, we have family, loved ones, & friends who are entangled in the religious system. Paul isn’t saying, have nothing to do with them!  Afterall, most of us came out of that same religious system.  Paul is saying, have nothing to do with their religious system! Set the Standard! What agreement is there between Christ & Belial (Satan)?  Gods will is that “all men be saved, and come to the knowledge of truth.” We have been committed the “ministry of reconciliation,” (that is our Identity now) we have been called to “make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery. ”But we are NOT to mix religion with Pauline doctrine . “And if by grace, then it is no more of works, otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace…” Rom. 11:6

 Religion makes it appear as if we should follow Christ after the flesh, after His earthly ministry (2 Cor. 5:16), according to the tradition of men, but that is what Christ did for NOI, not the BOC (Rom 15:8). We “walk by faith” (5:7) trusting in Christ’s heavenly ministry to us through Paul (Rom. 15:16). To walk worthy of our heavenly calling, we must first SEPARATE from the traditions of our fathers. To walk worthy, we must SEPARATE from our old inherited, or established ways of thinking, feelings. SEPARATE from old programming, from old misinformation. And come around to the unity of faith. SEPARATE from your old religious opinions. It takes faith and grace to be obedient to what God says.  

It takes faith and grace to separate from those who refuse to follow Pauline doctrine. What religion is teaching is “the unclean thing” and useless to God. We as the BOC are not to support them in our finances or our presence (in their churches). We are to come out from false churches, and separate from false preachers and teachers who do not follow Paul!   Paul is not speaking of salvation, but sanctification (Godliness)! Come out from among them who follow Christ’s earthly ministry. The “unclean thing” is anything against the truth of what God is doing now according to Christ’s ministry from heaven through Paul. Yes, our Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, etc. relatives, and acquaintances may indeed be saved, but unless he or she is a Pauline dispensationalist, they will not function the way God intends for them to.  We cannot be functional, useful sons and daughters unless we recognize the distinctive ministry of Apostle Paul. We must “rightly divide the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15) between “mystery” (believers that will live in heavenly places), from “prophecy” (believers who will live on earth).

Finally in 1 Tim. 4:1-3 Paul clearly warns the BOC, “in the latter days of grace, some (believers) shall depart the faith, (fall prey to the religious system), giving heed to seducing spirits & the doctrine of devils. Speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared (calloused) with a hot iron.” WHO will fall prey to the religious system Paul? The weak, the unruly, the unskilled in the word, & the unsaved!

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord  knoweth them that are His. And let everyone that nameth Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house (BOC) there are not only vessels of gold & silver, but also of wood & of earth, & some to honor & some to dishonor. If a man therefore purge himself from these (corrupt doctrine) he shall be a vessel of honor, sanctified, & meet for the masters use, & prepared unto every good work.” 2 Tim. 2:19-20.

“I beseech (plead) you (brothers and sisters) that ye walk worthy (honorably) of (your Identity in Christ) walk worthy of the vocation (occupation your going to hold in heavenly places) wherewith ye are called.” Eph. 4:1  This is not our home saints, this is only a rehearsal!
