Richard Jordan, President of Grace School of the Bible said, “we owe a debt of gratitude to the pioneers that came before us with Bible truth.” Pioneers, like Dr. Scofield and J.C. O’Hair.
J.C. O’Hair said, “we cannot stop with the recovery of truth where Dr Scofield stopped.” What he meant was that we can recover just so much truth from our King James Bible (final authority) and continue to build on that foundation going forward. For what saith the scripture? … Romans 4:3
I agree with Richard Jordan and J.C O’Hair. We do owe a debt of gratitude to the pioneers that came before us with Bible truth. Amen! That would include our parents, mothers and fathers who taught us as much Bible truth as they knew. They walked in all the light of the truth that they had. It was good enough to lead us to the Lord.
I had godly parents who took us to church and led us to the Lord. They taught us that Christ died for our sins on the cross and rose from the dead. As a young child I believed that justification salvation message but was never established in sanctification doctrine that comes from understanding the scriptures “rightly divided.” Thank God for grace and right division.
Today I know I am justified unto eternal life, sanctified, set apart, made holy, exalted; raised up together and made to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. I know who God has made me to be In Christ. I am complete In Christ!
Now that I have come into the knowledge of the truth, I can build on Pauline truth and go forward, thanks to the pioneers of God’s grace. Thank God for the recovery of truth. And we will be recovering truth until we see his face. That is why Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 2:15, to study to show yourself approved unto God, workmen that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. That is how we recover truth today, in the dispensation of grace. Amen!
In the religious system, the church stopped the recovery of truth at Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. And is still stuck! As a result of this ignorance of the truth, Satan has blinded the minds of those that are entangled with the yoke of bondage in the church. The religious system is dead to Pauline doctrine, the grace of God and right division.
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment I Corinthians 1:10.
Saints, it is dangerous to stop studying the word of God rightly divided. We cannot afford to stop the recovery of truth, Pauline revelation. Because the power is of God alone. “That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. “But we have this treasure (the life of Christ) in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” 1 Corinthians 2:1-5; II Corinthians 4:7.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Philippians 2:5
